Dr. Shruti Shastry is a board-certified orthodontist practicing in the Bay Area for over 10 years. Dr. Shastry was born in India and after completion of her undergraduate dental degree from India moved to the United States. She was accepted into the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry and graduated in 2010, top of her class, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Shastry completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) degree from Lutheran Medical Center, San Jose. She worked at St. James Medical and Dental Clinic, a community dental clinic serving patients from all walks of life. Dr. Shastry completed her orthodontic residency and Doctorate of Health Sciences in Public Health at the Arizona School of Dentistry. Dr. Shastry has contributed to research and has 3 original published articles on orthodontic trauma, orthodontic study models, and comparing jaw sizes in different ethnicities.

Dr. Shastry has always been excited and inspired by the positive impact a beautiful and confident smile can have on a person. She is passionate about making sure each patient receives a quality experience every time they visit the office, as well as customizing treatment plans to patient preferences with a focus on optimal oral function and esthetics.

Outside the office, Dr. Shastry and her husband are active parents to their twins, which she believes has been the most fulfilling and gratifying role outside orthodontics. She also loves to cook, exercise, travel, and enjoy music.
