Dr. Maurice D. Simanian, D.D.S., M.S.D. received his Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.c), Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).. During his time at UCLA he worked as a student researcher and contributed to groundbreaking research in the synthesis of Specific Targeted Anti-Microbial Peptides against Oral Pathogens (STAMPs). This research was published in the Journal of Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. Dr. Simanian then attended the University of the Pacific (UOP), Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and received his Master of Science & Orthodontic Certificate, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. While at UOP Dr. Simanian was recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists as an ‘Emerging Leader’ and awarded Best Finished Case by Faculty & Residents- “Start to Finish”. Dr. Simanian returned to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dentistry.

Dr. Simanian is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is passionate about providing care and life-changing smiles to the underprivileged and is a Medical Mission Volunteer for Rotaplast International, Inc., an organization that provides free surgical care for underserved communities throughout the world. Dr. Simanian volunteers for Operation Smile which is an international children’s medical charity that provides safe, effective reconstructive surgery and related medical care for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. Additionally, Dr. Simanian is a volunteer dentist for Give Kids A Smile, a charity created by the American Dental Associate (ADA) that furnishes dental services to underserved children.
